Children's Ministries
There are lots of activities for children of all ages and stages at Mountain Park
Church!
Sunday School classes for children are at 9:30 a.m. and 11 a.m. for nursery through 6th grade.

Summer International Cooking Class
For 3rd - 8th grade, at the church this summer. Offered by Certified Nutrition Educator and Sous-Chef Brenda Fulle, of Tender Loving Cuisine.

Kids on Campus 2010 Summer Camp
Joan Romine, Director and Teacher, TAG coordinator in Lake Oswego for 18 years. Held at MPC,
June 28 - July 2, 9 a.m. - 2 p.m. Cost: $225
Kids on Campus is an enrichment program offered for high potential students (they do not need to be identified for a Gifted and Talented Program). Courses are offered in an exciting environment, helping to meet the intellectual and social needs of academically interested students. Workshops include "Mental Olympics," "Become a Science Wizard!," "Aerodynamics," and "For the Fun of it!."
Kids on Campus - For Girls Only: Shake Hands with Your Future
For girls entering grades 5 and 6. At MPC July 5-9, 9 a.m. - 2 p.m. Cost: $225
A summer program offered for girls only, providing an enriched setting for the bright female to interact with others who have similar interests and talents.
Kids on Campus teachers are certified and have been carefully selected based on experience and reputations as outstanding educators. Registration forms are available at the church office, or contact Joan Romine.
EVERYONE CAN SEW! July 12-16, 9 a.m. - noon, for 4th grades through 12th grade, and adults too!
There are many fun projects planned! Great for beginners and those whose skills are rusty. Cost is $45. Contact the church office at 503-635-3443 to sign up.
Good to Know
Children’s Sunday School features quality, age-appropriate curriculum with fun,
faith-building lessons for learning God’s truths.
Lessons are designed to encourage children to use their imagination and curiosity
to experience the mystery and joy of God.
Children are encouraged to experience worship through interactive stories and creative
medium.
All volunteers and staff who work with infants, toddlers and children are required
to complete and pass criminal background and reference checks.
Sunday School teachers receive regular training, and are supervised under Mountain
Park Church’s guidelines and policies. |

AWANA
MPC's AWANA program goes through 12th grade, serving 3 year old's through senior-highers.
Children and youth are welcome to visit Club and join anytime throughout the year.
Leaders and helpers are needed and welcome in all age groups, from the 3-5 year old Cubbies through the 6th-8th grade Trek program. Please see Commander Cynthia Kenyon after church if you can help out. |

Resources For Families
AWANA – a Bible centered youth organization providing a weekly program for 3 year
olds through 12th graders. It runs September through May, Thursday evenings at 6:30-8:15
p.m.
Sonshine Express Preschool – offered through the school
year at Mountain Park Church.
